Belinda is a wife, mother, and educator who finds joy in navigating the highs and lows of parenthood alongside her husband of twelve years, Loman. Together, they are deeply committed to causes close to their hearts, particularly the well-being of children, the impoverished, and the elderly in Liberia. The Martins are also passionate about community outreach through their church and various faith-based initiatives.
Professionally, Belinda serves as an Assistant Principal at Chattanooga Christian School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has spent the past seven years in school administration, following a career as an English teacher, Yearbook Advisor, and International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme Instructional Coach at Signal Mountain Middle/High School.
Belinda is currently in the final stages of earning her Ph.D. in Learning and Leadership from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her research focuses on the impact of trauma-informed self-care practices on compassion fatigue, secondary traumatic stress, and burnout among educators.
